More evidence that Pakistan didn’t know about the details of the Osama bin Laden operation. Blowing up the now-famous Situation Room photo reveals this:
“TOP SECRET CODEWORD NOFORN / *FOR USE IN WHITE HOUSE SITUATION ROOM ONLY*”
The designation NOFORN is typically used to mean “no foreign nationals.” It is also customary for classified information that is intended to be shared with another country to be marked with “REL” followed by a country code. As you see, there’s nothing of the sort here. (Though, of course the labels apply only to the contents of the document in question. It wouldn’t preclude POTUS letting Pakistan know, e.g., that U.S. aircraft would be flying over Pakistani airspace).
