Metaphor Alert!

The story about that presidential limo getting stuck on a bump in Dublin brings to mind the phrase P.J. O’Rourke used when reporting on a game of bushkazi: “Metaphor alert!”

The limo is the administration’s fiscal policy, the bump is the deficit. Or: the limo is the War on Terror, the bump is Pakistan. Or: the limo is Obama’s re-election strategy, the bump is the unemployment figure. Or … …  Discuss among yourselves.

The limo is this blog post and the bump is the endless search for a new killer rabbit getting way old by now?

The limo is Obama's desire to eat a good cheeseburger, the bump is Michelle.

You mean the minor bump they felt that turned out to be nothing?

I think it was Tim Pawlenty?

How about the limo is the President's competence, and the bump is his ego.
Nah. the bump is way too small for that one.
