Would these be the same dems that voted for the stimulus and assorted and sundry other multi-trillion dollar budgets low these many years (yes, many repubs have the same problem)? Aren't these the folks that got us to the 'LIMIT' in the first place? Why procrastinate today when you can put it off till tomorrow. This 'trap' is of there OWN making.

Ahh-- the political party of my youth (up to 31 yo). And where is the Dem Party now? Its senators vote unamimously against their own President's budget; indeed they vote unanimously against 3 budgets. And now, apparently, when the Repubs gives the House Dems a chance to proudly vote for a "clean" debt limit increse, NO Dem congressman will vote for it. The Dem Party is a bunch of losers in debt denial. They know the music has stopped on the deficit spending game, and they can't even demagogue about Medicare; what do they have to run on? gay marriage? is that it?

They aren't a political party, they're a political parody.

How on earth does anyone in this country have the stones to proudly vote Democrat? I'd be embarrassed for them if I wasn't so fed up with this nonsense.
