She completely mangled the English language here, but I think the point she was making (poorly) was that Revere's ride was a signal to the British that we wouldn't let them take away our liberty, not that he was warning the British of our presence or something like that.
I have to agree with Zummo. It wasn't an eloquent answer, but she seemed to be saying that Paul revere's warnings to the Americans also served as warnings to the British that the colonists were ready to fight.
I'm not a Palin fan, but this seems petty to me. Unfortunately, in the land of "gotcha", this is what drives the headlines.
Nobody believes Obama doesn't know how many states there are no more than nobody believes Mrs. Palin doesn't understand the purpose of Paul Revere's ride. Both sides are guilty and the MSM gets to cash the checks.
As a former employee of the Paul Revere House, a fantastic museum in Boston, I can confirm that Sarah Palin was right--Revere was warning the British--British North Americans, more specifically--of the attempts by the "Regulars" to violate their traditional rights as Englishmen.
However, she is mistaken in suggesting that Revere was making a racket. He was trying to avoid British patrols. Rather, he knocked on doors quietly.

Whatever the case, not the best of sound bites.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseShe's dumb! When's she going to the last seven states that no one knows about other than Obama?
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI would have liked to have heard the question.
Kind of a strange answer. Makes Paul Revere sound much more aggressive.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseEnough already with Palin. She's beyond parody.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseYeah, if she'd said "put on notice" or whatever, no problem. But when you're Palin, you get zero slack.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI'm sure I've missed all the other videos you have posted of Palin. My apologies. Speaking of dumb, NRO has become a really really wierd site.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseIsn't stating "Presenting Without Comment" in reality making a comment about it? It comes across as snarky at best.

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseThis was on hot-air earlier and someone provided a reference to show that Palin was once again correct (remember 1773 ?).
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseOMG, she makes it up as she goes along.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbusePalin reminds me of the Gabby character in Blazing Saddles with his authentic frontier gibberish:

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseYes, what she said was clumsily stated, but "Paul Revere warned the British" is taking what she said so far out of context as to change the meaning.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseMrs. Palin,
Please leave the room and go jump of a bridge. You are a cancer.
Reply to this commentLinkReport Abusehow small of you
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseReally? not cool.

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI know that I take somebody seriously when they reference Blazing Saddles in their political analysis.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseGood thing this will be heard in all of Oblome's 57 STATES.

Reply to this commentLinkReport Abuse"Authentic frontier gibberish" indeed. Ex-gov. Palin is most credible as a Mel Brooks character.
I find conservative support for this train wreck baffling.
