The former Bay State governor’s summer strategy: keep quiet.
“People get tired of seeing the same person day in and day out,” Romney said Monday on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight. “Right now, your greatest enemy is overexposure.”
So don’t expect July fireworks. “People are going to start focusing on the elections probably after Labor Day,” he explained. “Until Labor Day hits, I’m going to be pretty quiet.”
In this respect, Romney noted that he does not mind Sarah Palin’s buzz. Her bus tour, he said, is the “best thing” that could happen to a low-key White House hopeful.
