Voldemort Alert

A minor news item from Sweden:

The police station in Malmö district Rosengård, in the south of Sweden, was fired upon early Saturday morning.

Oh, my! Sweden? Any more details?

“At 4:29 a.m. police on location alerted us about the gunshots,” Hanna Berndtsson, Skåne police information officer, told the TT news agency.

Anything else?

…a forensic investigation squad is on location to find out what happened. Thus far the forensic investigation has revealed that live ammunition was used in the shooting, and therefore an attempted murder probe has been initiated…

Yeah, yeah, gotcha. What else?

Rosengård, centrally located in Malmö, is an area commonly associated with social difficulties, and has been the place of several riots and clashes between local youths and authorities in recent years.

Ah. “Social difficulties” and “youths.”

I was in Rosengård last fall. The salient point about Rosengård is that it’s overwhelmingly Muslim, and when it comes to “youths” I mean that very literally: Indeed, during my twilight perambulation, I had something of a tense encounter with “youths” on the gangwalk of one of the unlovely housing projects. And by “Muslim” I mean a fierce self-segregating Islam, so that female immigrants from Muslim nations where women go uncovered are obliged to adopt the veil once they get to Sweden, of all places.

Yet the word “Muslim” appears nowhere in the report. Perhaps news stories could come with simultaneous signing for the multiculturally impaired.

Still, at least, as Megan Seaman, 18, would say, the reporter wasn’t “inappropriate” or “offensive.” And that’s what counts, right?

Mr. Steyn,
Your thoughts are poisoned with europhallocentricolonioppressionism. Those gunshots must have been from some youthophobe firing at the young darlings. If not that, then it must have been one of the poor oppressed youths understandably and rightfully firing in self defense against youthophobic hate rays emanating from somewhere. If that’s the case, we must guard vigilantly against the inevitable youthophobic backlash.

In centuries to come people who commit lawless deeds of destruction will be known as "youths," just as we know them as vandals today. "The youths youthized the old folks home and euthanized the residents."

Isn't "Malmo" the Swedish translation of "Dearborn"?

The longer the western world allows the tail to wag the dog, the sooner we will find no western world left. We'll see how well diversity plays in a Europe turned into a caliphate.

Steyn, a somewhat comical juxtaposition of one somewhat silly sounding surname for another...Megan Seaman to Megan Seaward. The entendres are indeed "doob-luh".

Remember during the heyday after 9/11 when liberals and libertarians would say, "If they hate us for our freedoms, why do Muslims not attack Sweden?" Well, now we know the answer to that question.

Forget mentioning "Muslim"; heck, the story shrinks from admitting any human agency at all. Shots and ammunition simply manifest themselves out of the ether then mysteriously vanish. It reminds me of the reports of 'SUV killings', where accidents and deaths were blamed on those loathsome vehicles rather than the drivers inside them.

I've noticed the trend as well. Since guns and SUVs are an anathema to the good left-leaning folk it is no wonder they're (guns and SUVs) presented as lone, insulated sources of evil.

My family comes from Norway. I tell them whenever I see there's a murder in Oslo, you see something saying the suspect was a "Norwegian citizen". Then a little after that you find out they were Muslim. I told my cousin there about this phenomena and he said yes that's the way they do it all the time, a "norsk borger" (citizen)is code word for Muslim. Whoever says an "American citizen" was the suspect?

"Whoever says an "American citizen" was the suspect?"
*************

Well, ABC News for a starter, although they do stretch it to "Ethiopian-American" when talking about a suspect in another, ah, situation.

What don't they mention? Need you ask?

Please note that the "suspect was mentally unstable or a lone wolf terrorist."

Choose A or B. Those are your only choices.

Political correctness is a euphemism for suicide. You get this illness from Europeans (i.e. Eurotrash, in America).

Maybe I'm being a naive little squish, but I think this is a case of looking for something to complain about. There's nothing here to indicate that the shooting was Islam related other than the location, and if anyone has any evidence they should present it instead of just screaming "POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!" at anyone who might just be giving the community the benefit of a doubt.

It's one thing to complain if you have actual evidence that the article in question is covering up the motive of the shooting, but we don't. We should not complain because the article -didn't- jump to a hasty conclusion and scream "Those D*mn Muslims Did It" right in the headline, no matter how probable it might be.
