Serious Progress

by Michael Yon

From here in Afghanistan, it is apparent that we finally are making progress. Is it worth it? That’s a separate question. But are we finally making serious progress? Absolutely.

We only got serious about this war in 2009. We got deadly serious when General Petraeus was asked to come back and save the patient. (How many times can we do this with him? What next, Libya? What are we going to say to him this time? Would you quit as director of CIA and fix our dumb mistakes again?)
