Fast and Furious Updates

by Robert VerBruggen

A few new details have come to light regarding “Fast and Furious,” a bizarre sting operation in which the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives let Mexican drug cartels buy weapons at gun shops in Arizona and use them in crimes:

— The Tampa ATF may also have been letting guns “walk” — to Honduras.

— The Obama administration is requiring gun shops in border states to tell the federal government whenever a person buys multiple long guns that fit certain criteria.

— Some witnesses who testified before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform may have been prepped by ATF documents they weren’t supposed to have access to.
