The Most Memorable Speech of the Boehner Bill Drama

May just have been the Paul Ryan cover-the-moon-with-yogurt speech last night.

Feel free to suggest others.

how about this - ask yourself why going 1+Trillion further in debt (on top of 14.5 Trillion + 115 Trillion in unfunded liabilities) this year in exchange for 22B in "imaginary" cuts is the great compromise its made out to be....

Paul Ryan is not the end all and be all of fiscal conservative thinking/policy.

Well, I think saving 1.5 trillion by not fighting wars for the next ten years is a grand idea. I doubt that it will happen though. I predict we'll spend much more than that.

Ryan's right. Let's cut federal funding of all education and research grants and let the private setor choose those research projects that are worth something. Let's cut farm and business subsidies and let them work it out in the market place. Let's cut pay for our reps and senators and have them work only 1/4 of the year to do only what must be done. There is so much fat to be cut. Let's do it.
