One of the strangest bits of logic is the current Democratic talking point that those who tried their best to lower the aggregate debt are to blamed for a credit rating agency’s worries over the sustainability of the rising aggregate debt — sort of like a family blaming the guarded postoperative prognosis of a relative on the surgeon who operated on him as he was brought dying into the emergency room.
