A Provocative Picture

David Limbaugh has tweeted this photo, which he reports he received from a friend, comparing President Obama and Governor Perry:

As Maggie Haberman notes, it’s sure to get a lot of attention, especially if Perry is the nominee. Haberman has Perry spox Mark Miner e-mailing this response: “A picture is worth a thousand words.”

(For what it’s worth, the Obama picture seems to come from a roll of film shot by a friend at Occidental college, which Obama left, in favor of Columbia, years before he was 22.)

Sounds like Mr Foster has gotten excited. Seeing starbusts?

Maybe this will remind voters of the last Texas pilot we elected President. Hah!

Yeah, 'cause we were in better shape back then when he was in charge! Hah!

Exactly. It's almost as if liberals prefer 9.2% unemployment and 3 wars instead of just 2.

Proves that arguing with them is like trying to nail jello to the wall.

Obama inherited the mess that Bush, cheney and his associates left in the oval office. it took years to create the mess we're in and the fix is not going to happen over night.

While it is true that GWB made mistakes and Obama inherited them, the reality is, Obama made everything far worse instead of fixing anything. Candidate Obama complained about a national debt increase of $4 Trillion under Bush. President Obama has more than surpassed that in a third the time.

Also, let's not forget: the last quarter of the Bush administration, when arguably things went from bad to worse, our budgets and laws were all passed by Pelosi and Reid's democrat Congress. Funny, no liberals seem to want to admit that.

You mean the president who gave us 4.3% unemployment and deficits 1/10 the size of the SCOAMF?

@DrPalinIpresume

Hah indeed!! Kudos on a well-crafted observation to you, sir! I see how you carefully compared Mr. Perry to, if I'm not mistaken, George W. Bush. I hope I'm not misunderstanding your completely original and totally relevant and meaningful allusion. It would truly be a shame if we returned to those horrible days of 5% unemployment. *Shudder*

As a former infantry officer, it pains me greatly to admit this, but they don't let idiots fly multimillion dollar fighters, or even fighter-trainers.

Irrespective of what Perry's grades were in school, he still had to pass the Air Force flight examinations. Those aren't easy. They require much more than a remedial understanding of math, geometry and physics; Something that far exceeds what you would cover in most high school AP classes.

Perry talks funny, and some of his hyperbole makes me recoil, but I don't think you can say he's an idiot given his CV - a CV that is publicly available, which is more than we can say about Obama's.

Yeah, I'm sure there are no photos of Mr. Perry at age 22 "carousing" or doing something other than posing with a jet with aviator sunglasses. I'll give credit to Mr. Perry for serving in the armed forces rather than obtain deferrments like most other politicians of his generation did. But this type of comparison is just stupid.

The question is, can you find a picture of Obama doing anything like what Perry was doing?

Obviously, the answer is no, which is why you are trying to distract us with your usual inanities.

God, what a great point. Clearly, when I'm voting for president, it's important that my candidate once flew cargo planes. Flying cargo planes is way more impressive than setting up job training and college prep programs in poor communities.

And what actual evidence is there that Obama actual did any of that? I mean, he says he was a "community organizer" but what actual evidence is there of him actually accomplishing anything?

Now now, In President Obama's defense, he's more experienced in dealing with terrorists. He has a long record of working with terrorists prior to becoming president.

Actually, yes, flying planes is more impressive. Orders of magnitude more impressive.

Well, sadly no photos, but Wikipedia states he used his plumbing skills and firecrackers to "surprise" college kids sitting on the toilet in his dorm. Real boys will be boys (and I should know as I am the mother of sons).
