Today’s Questions for the President

by Peter Kirsanow

You’ve failed to repudiate or even acknowledge the following statement made by Teamsters president Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. at yesterday’s Labor Day rally in Detroit, at which you also spoke: “President Obama, this is your army . . . Let’s take these sons-a-bitches out.” By “sons-a-bitches,” it appears Hoffa meant Tea Party members.

At another rally, Vice President Joe Biden told union members, “You are the only folks keeping the barbarians from the gates.”

Who are the barbarians to whom Vice President Biden was referring? Are they the 88 percent of  American workers who aren’t union members? If so, precisely what gates must they be kept from?

By remaining silent concerning Mr. Hoffa’s comments (and the earlier comments by Rep.Maxine Waters that Tea Party members can “go to hell”), do you concur  that Tea Party members need to be “taken out”? Does that include Tea Party members who are also union members?

Are the Barbarian-Americans who constitute 88 percent of the workforce a protected class under the 14th Amendment? Are they entitled to affirmative action? Will they be included in the jobs agenda you’re rolling out later this week?
