That’s what we keep hearing. He’s going to posture (the correct word) as the grown-up asking the Congress to do the responsible thing etc. It’s a familiar pose (another correct word). But it’s hard to reconcile with Obama’s reported refusal to talk about how we’ll pay for what he’s proposing. It’s an interesting definition of leadership. Tell voters poll-tested things they want to hear and stay quiet on what they don’t want to hear while lecturing your opponents about their refusal to make the tough decisions.
Hmmm.
Maybe they're using a stand-in?

Sounds like George Bush debt funding Wars and Medicare Part D with tax cuts and exhortations to Americans to blow money they didn't have.
The American pathological, extra-Constitutional "Imperial Presidency" - you gotta love the continuity...
Reply to this commentLinkReport Abuse"Your president did it first. He's worse than my president. Nyah, nyah nyah."
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseWeak.
FWIW:
1. Bush (not my favorite president) wasn't as annoying about lecturing opponents.
2. Jonah complained about Bush at the time.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI agree about Obama being an oily Chicago pol.
The Imperial style may be unique to each President, but the associated excesses are the same.
Obama is a clueless mediocrity who has nothing to say. The convergence of America's economic and political pathologies are driving it inexorably over a cliff.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseTrue, true, but at least he got us out of the ditch!
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseObama's the "adult" and we're all the "racists". We all have our roles.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseAnd, my role will be ... to do anything other than watch (or listen to) yet another speech by the hypocritical pontificator in chief.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI'll trust you to let us know what we need to know while I grill a steak and baked potato.
We all have our crosses to bear and he's yours tonight;)
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseOh goody, Predisent partisan, will rip the GOP and say lets all be above it.
Shocking Bush bashing is the 1st response on here from the trolls and then agree'd to by the Ron Paul crowd.
Bush is gone, nothing he did has any bearing on weather this community organizer is in way over his head and made things worse.
Reply to this commentLinkReport Abuse'Play' is definitely the correct word here...
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbusePathethic.
Government by tent revival. It's like watching a (less compelling / less honest / more hard sell) version of a Tony Robbins infomercial.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI don't see adult as much as dictator. Listen to his speech style, demanding Congress pass exactly what he wants. He frinkin' looks angry, check out those eyes. I say GOP should just block the whole dang thing and watch liberals heads explode.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseOr refusal to say anything at all. I don't have a clue what the plan even is that he is proposing.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI'm kind of reminded about that part near the end of Spinal Tap where the band plays at a fair. Should the next marquee read, "Puppet Show....And Obama"?
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseMy 6 year old plays dress up and pretends she is grown up. She is as much the adult in the room as Obama.
Reply to this commentLinkReport Abuse" He’s going to posture (the correct word) as the grown-up asking the Congress to do the responsible thing etc."
Mr. Goldberg, I believe it's not posture, but rather poseur that best describes Obama and many American's thoughts about him now.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseBut, he has excellent posture!
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseKeep your chin up, Mr. President.
