Herman Cain surged to third place in the latest Fox News poll, but he’s not planning to visit Iowa until November 19, reports NBC News. According to the campaign, Cain will be focused on promoting his forthcoming book This Is Herman Cain! in the next couple of weeks before returning to the campaign trail in mid-October.
How disappointing. So he's not really serious about this at all -- just cashing in on the right-wing opinion industry like Palin.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbusePromoting a book? Um, okay. But Iowa does have these little caucuses that attract some attention. Maybe somebody should tell Cain about them.
Latest Iowa poll I saw was an ARG effort. (Usual caveats about ARG, though the numbers roughly agree with other recent state polls from other pollsters.)
Cain was at 6%. Yep, time to promote that book. External Link
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI'd like to take Mr Cain seriously as a candidate, but as a general rule I think the presence of an exclamation mark in his book title doesn't tend to enhance its dignity.
Now maybe in some alternative universe it follows the great precedent set by such Presidential tomes as "Profiles In Courage!" and "Dreams From My Father!" and even "An Hour Before Daylight! Memories of a Rural Boyhood!" and even "The Naval War Of 1812!!!". But in this universe it seems more suited for a diet and/or motivational book.
