I still don’t much care what Warren Buffett has to say about national tax policy, but the news that Warren Buffett really isn’t quite on the same page as the White House is pretty hilarious:
No Buffett hasn’t repudiated Obama, but he’s clearly not gotten the memo either, which indicates the White House probably shouldn’t have invested to the hilt in the “Buffett rule.” You live by folksy anecdotes by avuncular billionaires, you can die by them too.
This is just another example of how the White House communications are so different than a campaign’s. This White House keeps mistaking things for shinola that aren’t shinola. AttackWatch! “Hey, let’s get Ron Suskind to write a book!” Etc.
I don't know what Buffett is waiting for - the U.S. Treasury takes voluntary gifts. No line, no waiting. Just mail it in, Mr. Buffett. Set a good example for all of the other ultra-rich people.

Raise revenues:
1. Cut all the loopholes that the legions of lawyers and accountants burrow thru to let Buffett, a ultra-billionaire pay taxes at a rate less than his poorly paid secretary's.
2. Miser Buffett should pay his secretary more so she could afford to pay Buffett's tax rate.
3. Support Obama, Buffett should pay at least $200,000 per employee, so they could pay Obama's $200,000 earner-millionaire tax rate.
Dam, that Buffet is a racist - straight up!

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseBuffet sounds even more like an Obama quisling in person than he does in print.
Hey, Warren -- send the Treasury a big check and stock up on cream of wheat. Then you might have some credibility.
