On Friday, Hillsdale College dedicated its new statue of Ronald Reagan, marking his centenary. Enjoy this photograph, taken by Hillsdale student Chuck Grimmett:
Just to put this out there in advance, I don't think the death penalty to be unreasonable punishment for defacing or otherwise vandalizing this statue.
Ironic as I believe Mr. Reagan would support free expression, however abhorrent, without penalty. I'd also assume he's intelligent enough to know that what matters is the man and the legacy, not the statue.
Be sure you share your list of other, partisan capital offenses so we understand how to conform to your constipated worldview.
It's a heckuva lot more sensible than your apparent assertion that crime should not be penalized.
Obviously, I was exaggerating for fun. However, when (not IF, but WHEN) some moonbat freaks do deface/vandalize that monument, watch how the result "surprises" them. Removing them from the gene pool would not be a loss.
Order: I didn't say there shouldn't be a penalty, I just took issue with your "fun" in calling for capital punishment.
You and Mark are birds of a feather: blather on and on and the minute anyone calls you on it you claim the commenter (in this case, me) is a liar and/or incapable of logical thought.
Hmmn. I asked you why the quote on taxes from Mr. Reagan isn't relevant, and what else about Mr. Reagan's governing philosophy that isn't relevant, and you say I'm stupid.
I ask Order about his noxious comment on the death penalty for defacing a statue and you say I'm stupid.
Since I only asked questions, what exactly have I gotten wrong today? What was the lie?
Just to put THIS out there in advance, fear not. The good thing about Hillsdale College's relative size and isolation means that it can logically dismantle the nationwide progressive agenda pretty much completely below the radar. Thus, both it and its statues should be somewhat safe from, respectively, ideological and physical attack for now.
But beware. In recognizability, Hillsdale is easily the fastest growing institution on the national stage, so upon it becoming an acknowledged thorn in their side, the progressives and iconoclasts that think they run this country will soon be fanning out full force in knee-jerk retaliation. Heck, I think President Obama only pretends there isn't a college or two that refuses to cave to his government's iron-fisted control (certainly not among the Ivy League. Just saying). But he's definitely irked.
What a great tribute on a campus which actually provides an education to students.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI surely do miss Mr Reagan, especially in these days and times.

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseAs your trolling goes, this is especially tinny.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseTinny? How so? You agree with Order that any defacing of a statue should be a capital offense?
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseIn your case, general principle would apply.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseMark:
Will you be responding to my request, above, for an explanation of why we're operating under a completely different Tax Code than in the 1980s?

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseYou are a liar and incapable of logical thought.
What's that got to do with all of the stuff you've gotten wrong today?

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseYou've gotten everything wrong today.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseJust as always.
BTW, I never said that you lied about anything today. I said that you are a liar.
If you can understand the difference, maybe you aren't as dumb as you make yourself out to be.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI didn't lie today but according to your post above I got everything wrong. I'm a liar but not today.
This is how a child thinks on a really bad day or in the midst of a tantrum.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseYou said, "I believe Mr. Reagan would support free expression, however abhorrent, without penalty".
Thanks for playing. Be sure to stick around for the lightning round where you can lose credibility even faster.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseOne of these days, you may grow up and stop claiming people said things they didn't. May be a long-off day, though.
