If you meant "Life's Been Good", that was hysterical.
"My Maserati does 185. I lost my license, now I don't drive. It's tough to handle this fortune and fame. Everybody's so different, I haven't changed ..."
I wish my schools had had film clips like this when we were studying the history of brutal dictatorships. I think I would have better understood the social dynamic that allowed those murderers to seize power.
Gotta love the comment about who gets it first after the revolution. Yeah, the artists and writers thought the same thing in the run-up to Bolshevism.
Their abuse of the
First Amendment makes me say
"Thanks for the Second!"

The last thing those poseurs want to do is get it on. It is only by the grace of normal people's tolerance and amusement that they're keeping this nonsense up. That will not last too awful long. When the patience of both sides is exhausted, that's when the skull-cracking goodness begins.
In any case, I think the education institutions behind each one of those clearly ignorant people should be researched and put on display. The shame such a webpage would inspire would rival that of a sexual offender registry or dead beat dad list. Consider it an obligation to the consumer.
These guys, having never studied history, don't get it that 1917 is the exception. Argentina in the late seventies is the rule.
Responsible republican citizens don't want either, of course, and the overwhelmingly likely outcome is that we win and the lefties go home and mope. But the *second* most likely alternative, is that *if* a class war starts and destroys the republic, the people who win aren't going to be the lefties. And coming in second in *that* contest means a lot more than just moping.
I kept waiting for the fade into scenes from the BW version of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers".
I'm even MORE scared because I keep looking for the Stalin-type maniac in the background. These people are simply cannon fodder. Peasants are much smarter.
Your university tuition funds at work. A mind is a terrible thing to waste and it looks like we've wasted a whole generation of minds if this is the end product of an education these days. The blind leading the blind.
1. I'm not exaggerating: I literally did a doubletake about 4 or 5 times, thinking I knew the particular person being interviewed at different points in the video.
I suspect anyone else out there with an advanced degree in the social sciences or humanities might have a similar experience.
2. Notice how shaky they get when asked to fit specific people into their gauzy theories. The restauranteur who works long hours to sustain a middle class living really throws the one guy for a loop....
3. Did anyone else notice the speaker at 7:00? She's holding a conch shell. As in Lord of the Flies.....Sounds about right!
Like--ya know--Like--ya know-like we gotta, like have the working people run things, ya know, and take the money from the rich, like, ya know! That seems to be the core objective, as best I can figure.
If you look at the comments to other posts on NRO today you will find that these obtuse malcontents, i.e., college-educated young liberals, are not the core members of the OWS movement, but rather fringe elements of that movement. Thus, to judge the entire movement on the comments and actions of the fringe would be unfair.
On the other hand, it's odd that the fringe members of the movement find it so easy to get their faces and voices on camera while the core members continue to be mostly invisible - except on blogs where "thoughtful, reasonable" commentators post "smart critiques" of the movement and its core participants.
From what I can tell, the "core members" are George Soros, SEIU, AFL/CIO, and other Democrat, far left groups which want to be mainly invisible so their agenda of reelecting Obama isn't highlighted.
So, if those college malcontents are misrepresenting the "mainstream" of the OWS movement, why aren't they asked to leave? Why does everyone cheer when speakers call for socialist revolution? Why have the Communist Party - USA and the American Nazi Party both expressed solidarity with OWS?
I say we throw a bone to the legitimate Tea Party/Occupy grievance about the bailouts, by staging the equivalent of a do-over: Put Bank of America and Citigroup into involuntary bankruptcy. To clean up our Japanese-style zombie banks, let's have a one-time fire sale of *all* non-performing loans: Put them all on the auction block at once. Find price levels where somebody -- anybody -- can service every piece of debt paper out there, and move forward from there.
And then relocate Wall Street lock, stock, and barrel to Dallas, Manchester, NH, or Salt Lake.
It's amazing how important a soundtrack can be to a video's desired emotional affect.
I replayed it using the Benny Hill Show theme and it's completely different - much improved I think and more faithful to the narrative.

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseTry it with Joe Walsh's guitar solo of "Bolero".
Actually, ANY version of Bolero will do, including the original.
I bet you'll laugh.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseJoe Walsh's ILBT, however, is a non-starter. ;)
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseILBT? I plead ignorance. Please advise.

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseILBT is a Joe Walsh song. "I Love Big [mammary glands]". It was, decidedly, not inspired by him visiting a lefty protest. One would hope, at least.

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseExactly -- where are the cooler heads willing to renounce all the "Mao More Than Ever" over-eagerness?
Who has come forward to caution against the dehumanizing aspects of communism? Or socialism? Or even Argentine statism?
Nope, only cheering.
