Describing the Candidates in a Word

by Katrina Trinko

What are the top five words people think of when asked to describe Herman Cain, Mitt Romney, and Rick Perry in a single word?

The Pew Research Center and Washington Post polled Americans and found that for many, the level of knowledge about the candidates was so low that even coming up with one word wasn’t possible.

But some were able. And so, for Cain, the top five words were “9-9-9,” “business,” “interesting,” “good,” and “pizza.” For Romney, the top five were “Mormon,” “Health care,” “flip-flop,” “good,” and “no.” For Perry, the top five were “Texas,” “no,” “idiot,” “conservative,” and “governor.”

The Corner

The one and only.
