re: Trafficking Victims Take a Backseat to Ideology


Today on the House floor, Rep. Joe Pitts highlighted the Post piece and called for an investigation, expressing his outrage that “victims of trafficking will now face a reduced level of service because of political meddling.” He also raised the possibility that “religious bigotry” may have played a role in the cancelled contract with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, which was directing an ecumenical coalition program.
