From the Chicago Tribune:
Sharon Bialek’s fiance — who said he is her primary source of financial support — is unemployed and preparing to file for bankruptcy, according to Lake County court documents reviewed Tuesday by the Tribune. And in Cook County, lawsuits show she has been targeted by creditors who claimed she owed them thousands in unpaid rent, personal loans and credit card bills.
In a round of TV interviews, Bialek, 50, said she had no financial reasons for coming forward and had not been promised a job in exchange for accusing Cain of groping her in a parked car 14 years ago. She sought to downplay past financial problems
.
This will be bankruptcy number 3. That's incredible, how can you do that, and who keeps giving her credit cards? Good grief.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI knew people who had filed for personal bankruptcy. They got credit offers out the yin-yang afterward, because they would not be able to file for bankruptcy again for a specified number of years.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseEvery 10 years. She first filed in 1991, then in 2001. She's about due for her third round. She knows the system well.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseDid Fannie and Freddie start issuing credit cards when i wasn't looking???
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseActually, it's her boyfriend who might file, but he says he's her primary source of financial support.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseIn questioning on Fox News yesterday she was asked if she would state that she would not write a book or accept payment from tabloids or others and she demurred - saying she had no plans to now but that it was too early for her to even think about any of that at this point.
Yeah right.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseNever mind. She served her purpose: She holed Cain below the Plimsoll Line.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseLooking at her and the other named accuser I wonder if Herman Cain is just what he looks like, a friendly guy. He's a perfect target for gold diggers (in Bialek's case) or professional grudge holders like the other woman.
It may be possible that no corporate leader who was around in the 1990s exists who does not have this type of accusations in their past. (Mitt is immune since he did not run a large organization but an investment house).
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseThe other women may very well have legitimate complaints, but the odds of this Bialek woman telling the truth is hovering at around 10% currently.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseIf her "allegations" are true, Herman must of been roaring drunk and it was closing time. otherwise...
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseTotally true!
It's a well-known proven fact that ONLY highly attractive women are sexually harassed or accosted. We're talking 9 or 10s.
Since she's only about a 7, there's NO WAY she's telling the truth.
Whew! And I was beginning to think that because FOUR women have accused him of bad behavior that there must have been some general truth to their claims.
Thanks, Denroy!
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseNow, we're all dying to hear your assessment of Juanita Broaddrick's attractiveness.
Reply to this commentLinkReport Abuse"The other women may very well have legitimate complaints"
You are way to generous.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseThere is a whiff of "grifter" in the air.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseIs allred working for free?
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseBeau, I am worried about you for this is a stupid question and that is out of character for you! Step back from the keyboard and breath deeply, you will be OK.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseYou're right, of course she's working for free. Allred is America's version of mother theresa.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseBeau--now I am really worried about you. ;-)
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseWhat the turtle is trying to tell you...
Allred is a businesswoman. Like all business people, she needs to advertise. The average 1-minute commercial spot in primetime on network TV costs about $200,000.
Think how many minutes Allred will be getting from the coverage of the Cain scandal. Then multiply.
Allred is most assuredly not "working for free."
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseNo, turtle was in on the joke I was making.
Someone has to be paying for this. The questions are: who, and how.
