He rightly rails against those usurping democracy with smiles on their faces and gross incompetence in their wake yet in the European, and British media he is the extremist.
I'll repeat myself too: Good stuff. But the reason the objects of his attack can smirk and chuckle at what he says is because they have all the power. For now, they let guys like Farage vent because, well, might as well let him vent...for now.
The smirks are priceless. (It's a visual representation of what most of the liberal trolls write like, too, usually when conservatives are saying things pretty similar to what Farage said.)
Sadly, though, any competent student of history can tell you that this is Europe returning to being Europe. Europe's experimentation with democracy has always been dicey at best. It should not be surprising that Farage comes from the only member state with any real, sustained cultural roots in it.
One of the best verbal smackdowns I've seen since someone (Jonah? Steyn?) linked to a video of another Brit evicerating a female MP on some British talkshow over liberal British policies driving the UK riots a couple of months back -- right after the female MP made some comments about trying to "understand their anger" or somesuch.
You miseed it twice actually... but who's counting
