Gingrich’s Plan

Newt Gingrich introduced some more policies that he’d like to promote as president while stumping today in New Hampshire. The key changes would be allowing (but not requiring) personal Social Security account (for you who love Chilean model mentions in the debates, get happy: Gingrich is also touting that model in his argument for personal accounts) and Medicare vouchers. Gingrich is also proposing that federal government, instead of funding means-tested welfare programs on a national scale, start giving states block grants and transferring the welfare programs to state control.
