There are various posters here who insist that if you try to silence someone, it's because you're afraid of them.
But I suspect that for them, it doesn't count when "occupiers" try to shout down and drown out a public event. I suspect further that they'd see the "vote" taken here as an attempt to "silence" the "occupiers."
For the rest of us, it's just another example of how juvenile the "occupy" mentality is.
Democracy looks like people living in tents, spreading disease, and performing bodily functions in public with periodic breaks to mindlessly repeat and amplify the slogans shouted at them by their self-proclaimed leaders.
Sady, the irony is lost on OWSers. To them, everyone else there were the 1%.
The most frustrating part of "speaking for the people" is when "the people" speak for themselves. Marx called it "false consciousness," perhaps the greatest act of sophistry in world history.
Who cares if they get it? The fact that they were publicly "pwned" is the point. Besides, useful idiots *never* get the point.
On the other hand, this is how you fight them: Silencing them through public humiliation. Not all arguments have to be won through reasoned debate. That's why the Dems have been so successful.
Gotta love Colorado Springs and all the areas outside of City and County of Denver, Boulder, Aspen and Telluride. As a native of 49 years, I find most of the long time residents just want the government to stay the hell out of their business and stay out of the way of their enterprises. It's all the newcomers that move to Colorado and then want to bring along all these big government and liberal ideas from the very areas they left because their former state now sucks. It seems to be an ongoing issue across the west in MT, ID, OR, WA, NV, UT, AZ.
I believe Hickenlooper got elected because he seems to be a common-sense business man and at least at this point seems to represent the interests of all Coloradoans...not just Dems. I was happy to see how he handled the OWS-Denver and shut down the tent city pretty quickly in cooperation with his ex-administration at the City & County of Denver.
Got it. The guy who took the video didn't like the fact that it only showed the part where OWS got put down.
Here's a time-specific link to the 20-minute video (in other words, you follow this link and you'll end up at 15:01 or so in the video) to the relevant part.
Awesome is right.
The only thing that might have made it better would have been some "down twinkles...."
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseUp-twinkles to that!
And up-twinkles to verumserum, one of my favorite new sites for posting it! (new to me at least....)

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseThe only thing that would have made it better is if someone had used your title to educate the 99 cent group
Something like:
Reply to this commentLinkReport Abuse"For those whose education and spankings have been neglected, that is what democracy looks like."

I believe that is the message OWS is conveying.

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseSeems it was taken down. Are there any other links to the video?
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseAnyone know where the video can be seen now? Youtube took it down based on a copyright claim.
