My response to Andy Stern’s op-ed yesterday.

There are a bunch of things I didn’t have room for in the column. But one point I would like to make here.  A few folks have criticized the Journal for running Stern’s piece in the first place. I disagree entirely. First of all, op-ed pages have an obligation to run interesting or significant pieces. Stern’s essay was both. More to the point,  I cannot imagine how happy the Journal’s editors must have been when they got it. Andy Stern basically agreed to embrace the liberal caricature. He said in the lines what conservatives usually have to pluck from between them. It will serve as a fantastic place marker for a very long time to come.
