That question from Chris Wallace was a little bit of a gift to Romney to talk about his position on abortion – a conversion that came from study he took on when the issue came to him in the most radical of ways: the dispute over human cloning.
And I’m sorry to say I disagree with my friend Rick Santorum on the Romney marriage record. On marriage, on life, on religious liberty, Romney moved right, rose to the occasion as governor. He’s become an ally.
Rick Santorum has tremendous courage on these issues. And gay marriage in Massachusetts is not Mitt Romney’s fault. I’m grateful for both of them and their leadership.
