Santorum’s Message Tonight

Text

Johnston, Iowa — Senior strategists to Rick Santorum’s presidential campaign tell NRO that, regardless of tonight’s final tally, the former senator “will return to his roots” in his remarks to supporters at the Stoney Creek Inn. “He will talk about being the son of Italian immigrants, about growing up in western Pennsylvania, about coal mines and steel towns,” says one adviser. As the campaign shifts, turning its focus toward New Hampshire, Santorum’s “populist, blue-collar, family” message will be highlighted, contrasting “his story with Romney’s.”
