It's almost sad what's happened to Jesse Ventura. He used to be a fairly decent representative of the libertarian movement back in the 90's. But then he got caught up in America-bashing and conspiracy theories. A fate, sadly, not uncommon to many libertarians.
Yup. Jeane Kirkpatrick used to call Democrats the "Blame America First Crowd". Much of the Libertarian movement has joined them. Increasingly, they have more in common with Democrats than Republicans.
Yes. The whole world policeman thing has been working so splendidly and it's not like we don't have plenty of money to keep it going. It's time for those pesky libertarians to get on the bandwagon and support our unending war program.
Scott Wilson, you are correct. He should never have to buy another beer for the rest of his life and that right should be transferable to his children when they grow up.

Indeed, this begs a serious question: what if Chuck Norris had been this man, and what if Jesse Ventura would have said to the former (as the former was attending the wake of a fallen comrade): "This war is wrong; you DESERVED to lose a few guys." (Image in my mind of the American escapee from the Viet Cong POW camp taking a flamethrower to the face on that rope bridge in Norris' film "Missing in Action, and yes, I know that was just a movie.)
I wonder what would Mr. Norris have said and/or done?
I don't have the the words to describe how much I want to buy that man a beer.
If I had the disposable income, I'd buy the guy the whole bar.
