Don’t look for Sarah Palin to join Todd Palin in endorsing Newt Gingrich any time soon.
“First dude went rogue,” Palin told Fox Business Network in an interview tonight. “And I respect him for doing that.”
She attributed her husband’s decision to endorse Gingrich to Gingrich’s “connectivity to the working class” and his ability “to incentivize the private sector to create jobs for the skilled workforce.”
His reasoning, as conveyed by his wife, seems pretty dumb to me.
Palin will go with Romney, I imagine, but few will notice.

I sure hope not. Getting behind one RINO (McCain's Senate reelection bid) was enough.
She paid her debt. Please, no more.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI saw Palin on FNC tonight and realized that her value was as a moonbat detector. Now that the lunatics are onto other things, Palin has no value. She's just a woman with an odd accent, average IQ and a pretty much no idea what's going on. Nothing wrong with any of that, but the woman who empties the trash at the office has a funny accent, an average IQ and no idea what's going on. She does not have a book deal and a contract with FNC.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI see the Palin haters are out. You are comparing a former Governor and VP nominee to somebody who empties the trash at your office.
Really,?? That is your "point". How pathetic. You are a sad little person.
Reply to this commentLinkReport Abuse"Odd/funny accent"? Really? Do you not get out much? Watch movies or television? America is a large, diverse country which includes regions that have been influenced by various waves of immigration and consequently have wonderful, unique modes of speech and dialect. I would hope that when you're out in public, meeting people from all walks of life, that you remind yourself of that and don't let your bigotry show too much.

Oh boy...
That sure is the Beltway Insider named Newt who grafted 1.8 Million via Fannie and Freddie.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseOld Fan, my answer to you is the same one I give liberals when they ask how a Republican governor can ask for disaster relief: "As long as liberal policies encourage stealing my taxes, I want people on my side to steal as much back as possible. At least it's going to someone who isn't actively anti American."
wv: usual suspects. I see the usual suspects are commenting.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI don't for a minute believe this "rogue" rubbish.
Sarah and Todd are a political team. Sarah is very cagey about political commitment but wanted to ding Romney because she wants to prolong the process in hopes of exploiting it herself in one way or another.
She sent Todd out to give a hand to the not-Mitt side without -- she hoped -- personally offending Mitt. Now that Newt is radioactive, she is nervous even about being connected to him through Todd.
She tries to walk it back with some of her cutesy "rogue" talk. Gag me.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseAs compelling as the Palin endorsement may be, I'm much more interested to see what DeMint does. Even if he doesn't outright endorse anyone, his non-committal comments could be impactful, particularly in a close election.
I have no idea what kind of influence Graham has in that state, but I don't believe he has endorsed anyone (yet) either - could be wrong.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseAccording to Mike Gallagher on Hewitt today, Graham's endorsement might hurt more than help but DeMint is truly loved and would be a prize.
Gallagher's family is in South Carolina and he is there regularly apparently.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI'm surprised DeMint and Palin haven't endorsed anyone (especially since DeMint endorsed Mitt four years ago.) Maybe I'm just projecting, but I think both of them *want* to endorse Ron Paul but are wary of the association.
And, as a SC native and resident, I think Graham's endorsement would hurt more than help.

You think Sarah Palin, the only US governor who had the Israeli flag in her gubernatorial office wants to endorse Ron Paul?
Yes, you're projecting.
PS - DeMint supports Israel at least as strongly as Palin does.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseYes, but we're not talking about an endorsement for te presidency of Israel. DeMint was on Mike Gallagher's show this morning, and spent the entire interview talking about there was only one conservative candidate in the race, and it wasn't Romney. I don't think he'll endorse Paul if Paul can't win a primary, but I don't think he'll sell out America's economy to avoid offending the "Israel Before America" crowd either.

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseSo, you think Paul's policy is anti-Israel?
We give them $3 billion/year and tell them what to do, and then give $12 billion/year to all of its enemies. It's just madness.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI love husband dearly. We don't always support the same candidate even in the general election although we share our reasons for whom we vote and sometimes influence one another. We both support Romney. We both believe the country is in trouble and we need his understanding of markets and finances to do a big UNDO without making a mess. Anyone here ever played fiddlesticks?
Reply to this commentLinkReport Abuse"First Dude" of what? Reality Television?
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseIf there is one word to describe Todd Palin, it would have to be: maverick.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseRemember old friends you once liked but absolutely would kill a joke because they don't know when to shut up - and so eventually you are so embarrassed to be with them you stop being friends?
"First dude went rogue."
Reallly, Sarah? In 2012?
I'm waiting for a mention of the "lamestream" media now...
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseWait 'til the coronation of Romney as the GOP nominee. Once Obama's team begins to dismantle his candidacy, then you'll hear and read it.
It's what conservatives do. It's all they've got.
