The Corner

The one and only.

I’m Not the Only One!

Rod Dreher makes fun of a WSJ critique of Santorum’s “preferential populism.”

The worst part of this particular WSJ item, which was generally favorable to Santorum’s economic plan, is that the editors singled out his proposal to triple the personal deduction for children as an example of unfair tax policy, actually calling it the most “disappointing” thing.

A guy who wants to buy a Porsche or porn, and a guy who wants to support his family, should be treated equally by the tax code as all engaging in consumer expenditures?

I miss Robert Bartley.
