The President’s Plan for Bigger Government

Not content with appointing officials without the Senate’s advice and consent, now the president wants the freedom to be able to make government more powerful. In essence, he wants his government to look like a European government, with all-mighty departments free from internal checks and balances. I go into rather more detail on his plan over at Openmarket.

And if you haven’t yet read Stealing You Blind, now might be a good time to do so!

Quite ambitious. However based on his current level of failure, going back to being a race hustler/welfare p-mp or affirmative action law lecturer is more his speed.

Obama wants to shrink the government a bit, save some money, and get rid of some agencies and fire some bureaucrats. This should be encouraged not discouraged. Congress Republicans should be behind these efforts - not against them. America is watching. Congress Republicans - don't make the same mistake as when you opposed cutting taxes for the middle class!

The economy imploded because government agencies were not closely monitored and strictly regulated. It's frightening to think what might happen when government agencies are given more power and less scrutiny.
