Well you know at least he's not a flip flopper... (doh!)
In Romney we have someone who was consistent in their public expressions, and was up front about changing views. In Gingrich you have someone who puts up a front, and acts different behind the scenes and when he is caught, says he has a change of heart and is repentant.

I don't want to say anything negative about the lack of judgement of those who have and are putting their trust in Gingrich. I'd just like to say, your faith in him is admirable, but please consider if you may be wrong and that Gingrich is not who you hope he is, but what is actions point him to be -- an opportunistic person who pursues his self-interest at every avenue... be it in the bedroom, in politics, or in his lobbying outside of politics.

Gingrich is no doubt worthy of being forgiven if he truly regrest what he did. But that doesn't make his character suitable for being President. On the flip side, we have Santorum who projects everything he would be, were he in Romney's shoes. Santorum's approach towards Romney smacks of jealousy.

I think there are really only two candidates to seriously choose from this time around, Paul or Romney. And while Paul may be admirable sometimes, in a case like Paul it's best to cherry pick his best positions, and see how they can be improved up or worked into the political process, because for right or wrong there is either too much crazy or too much perception of crazy in his positions by the public.

"It doesn't matter what I do, it matters what I say. That's my role." -- Newt Gingrich, to his then-wife, after asking her for a divorce (having carried on a six-year affair with Callista) and then proceeding directly from that to deliver a speech on "family values".

What a marvelous summation of his campaign thus far.

Newt in 2012!

It's over for Newt.

We can't have a nominee that's a "swinger" wanting an open marriage.

Do you realize how repulsing that is to most mainstream Americans? And it sounds like Callista (Newt's current wife and aspiring first lady) was okay with that arrangement.

Whatever great debate performances Newt puts in, it's not worth this baggage.

Remember the good old days when a President's personal life had "nothing to do" with his performance in office or political career?

Anyone remember how "MoveOn.org" got its name?
