I officially retract all my suggestions that NRO's coverage has been unfair to Rep. Paul. As the Good Book says, "Animated GIFs shall cover a multitude of sins."
Whatever you say about him, you do get the impression he's a "happy warrior". He's been going at it for years and getting ignored and insulted. In the debates, he's always left off to the side and hardly addressed except to throw him a bone.
As much as I disagree with the Doctor on many issues, especially his very poor anti-US foreign policy concepts, he is very likable - has a great demeanor. He did embarrass Santorum the other night, regarding the Pro-Life issue and his reminder of the Constitution about the State's Rights.
Not every comment requires positive comments about Romney and/or negative comments about Gingrich. You really aren't any less of a person for actually staying on-topic for once in your life, and some people might even appreciate the small gesture toward being an actual human being, capable of independent thought beyond your monomaniacal stumping for Romney.
Nice observation. He's personable, wouldn't mind seeing him down at the barber shop.
One thing I don't like about him is he seems to be setting such a low bar for reasons to support him. Along the lines of, "The issue is healthcare? Why, I'm the only doctor on the stage. The issue is related to the armed forces? I was drafted into service as a flight surgeon." (well, that's what I remember anyway, pretty sure he was Air Force.)
There's nothing wrong with that, but what I don't like is the reference to a role he had, without reference to how he performed in that role, or how that would influence his approach to problem-solving (although I'm not actually convinced that he sees his role as anything other than being a perennial gadfly.)
What it reminded me of was the guy from the Rent is Too Darn High Party: "As a karate expert..."
Captcha: 'all dancing.' Love the GIF.
Also, the swear word filter captured the original word in that political party's platform so I had to change it to 'Darn.' Surely that was fair use!
At a meeting of Republicans in Reno last night, I came to the conclusion that Ron Paul followers are conspiracy nuts, and exhibit some of the behaviors of members of cults.
OK, you just had to post this---I'll be seeing this in my nightmares for months now! Thanks a heap!

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseIt is a funny gif, but the GOP really does need to make peace with Ron Paul.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseNo, Paul needs to make peace with the GOP. His following is loyal, but after all, it IS a minority.
