The only difference I could tell is that he emoted his points much more in last night's speech. And it sounded really forced and really fake. I guess one does that in an election year.

Obama has only one presentation mode - Nitwit Idiot-Savant.

Examining the nuances of Barack's inane speeches is like re-arranging the body parts of a Mister Potato Head doll. You waste a little idle time about nothing...

This is a problem with our political culture more broadly. We reward politicians far too much for using cheap cliches and turns of phrase.

That is a really, really good shot across the bow on Obama, but a good editor could make it a direct hit.

They need to start with the "Perpetual Campaign" line, and THEN lead to all of the other repeat quotes. That will set in the viewer's mind that he is IN FACT in perpetual campaign mode. The repeat quotes then have double impact- not only is the president saying the same thing over and over, but the content of his statements is meaningless campaign promises.

The narrative that needs to be defined for this president is that he is an articulate, passionate talking suit. That he says things over and over and over but doesn't have the ability to execute. This commercial, edited down a bit, would be PERFECT for planting that seed in the populous.

He looks way more angry in 2012 then in 2011 or 2010. But then, I think he's just angry all the time and his pictures show that even when he's got that S eating grin on his face. Look at the eyes - there's never anything but anger and hate there.

That little got done last year can be explained by the destructive kamikaze missions of House Republicans and the pernicious impact of naive freshman who think that you can somehow govern without compromise from the House of Representatives.

Who is to blame? Republican politicians.

Maybe these Republican politicians should think about doing something for America instead of their own careers, for once in their lives.

And maybe you should think about making an original point instead of spouting off talking points.

Best ad by the GOP this year. Keep it up.
