Because why should Jon Huntsman’s daughters get all the attention? Seriously: Elizabeth Santorum may be a future star. At 20, she comes across with admirable poise and energy for her Dad.
Since we've gotten down to the final four, I've decided to support Santorum, however long shot he may be at the moment.
If we get stuck with either of the two (lousy) frontrunners, my only consolation will be that this seemingly healthy, well-adjusted family won't have to go through the brutal onslaught of outright vileness that would be heading their way.
(Yup. Even my consoling thoughts have become that dark. Thank you, presidential politics!)
And kudos to the Santorum women for not making fools of themselves a la the Huntsmen daughters. Rather than capitalize on their 15 minutes of fame on YouTube, they seem grounded enough to think first about family and *why* they're even in this process in the first place....
The more I see about Santorum, the more I think he's generally a class act. (Still have trouble with the Specter-Toomey thing though....)
Santorum said (perhaps in a debate) that the Specter's win paved the way for the successful nominations of Roberts and Alito. He said that they needed Specter on the judiciary committee in order to get conservative judges on the bench.
I thought it was a good answer or the best he can give anyway. What'd you think of that answer?

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI hadn't heard it and, on quick read, don't quite see the dots connecting. But I'll look into it. Thanks!
