I mentioned earlier this week that Marco Rubio delivered a beautiful speech at a Susan B. Anthony List event this week, one that goes straight to the potential vice-presidential vetting file. But more than that, he expressed an urgency and issued a challenge. These are shameful years, 39 years of legal abortion, and history, he contended, will see it that way. The choice is ours: Do we want to be a moral beacon or not, protecting the fundamental right of life. Video is now up on the Susan B. Anthony List website.
If I were a pro-lifer, I would never trust a "pro-life" politician who didn't talk about the mechanics of jailing abortion doctors and their female clients. (I didn't watch the Rubio video. If he got specific, let me know.)

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseThe GOP of Ronald Reagan was staunchly pro-life. Not just "officially", in the party platform, but in it's proclaimations, in it's soul. Today's GOP? Party elites would just as soon pro-lifers...so called, "Social Conservatives" would just butt out. If the GOP ceases to be ardently, staunchly pro-life, it will return to where it was before Ronald Reagan formed a coalition with pro-lifers, evangelicals and fiscal conservatives....namely, a 40 year minority!
