That was true when Buckley, Rusher, Hart, Kenner et. al. were writing for NR. These days there is a paucity of good writing and an abundance of cheap thought (excluding Goldberg and Steyn).

Interesting that NR gets second billing to Sarah Palin. (Maybe because she has a specific fundamental point that crosses party lines: "She's right," he says, that "it's not left-right so much as it is the big powerful interests who control everything versus the little people.")
When I first read that, I thought it said "Jonathan Chait." That would have been news.
