Tomorrow night I’ll be “debating” our friend Matt Welch from Reason on whether or not Libertarians are part of the conservative movement at AEI in Washington DC. Details here.
I look forward to the response you get from the Libertarian rank & file, which of course will be uniformly respectful, well-mannered, highly informed and without any egotistical self-regard.
Conservatives are collectivists. Libertarians are individualists. The sets are mutually-exclusive. Conservatives are unwitting members of the socialist coalition. This is why they support socialist candidates.
