Before Corner readers run off to City Hall to get on the waiting list for jobs in garbage collection, permit me to offer a wet blanket. It’s what I’m here for.
Didn't the councilman who was the source for that (blizzard labor action) either backtrack or "clarify" some of the details? Everyone found the story immediately plausible anyway but there was no smoking dumpster
Of course pathetically enough there is no shortage of New Yorkers who can vouchsafe eyewitness tales of rubbish lorries parked in groups mid-day near the local basketball court and coffee shop, rain or shine.
