Linda Greenhouse is a proven Nitwit. In fact, almost the entire op-ed staff of the NY Times is a Confederacy of Dunces. See the similarly twisted logic of Gail Collins and Andrew Rosenthal in their essays on this topic as validation.
Aside from Greenhouse's blatant liberal bias, she's not a lawyer and does not even have a JD. It's a mystery why anyone would think she's qualified to provide legal analysis. She might as well opine about the implications of string theory while she's at it.
"Thus, Greenhouse is wrong when she asserts that Catholics are now claiming “a right to special treatment: to conscience that trumps law.” "
I thought the Nuremburg trials showed that conscience _should_ trump law. Does the left no longer agree? Are we all just to start "merely obeying orders"?
