So the president refuses to apologize for forcing Catholics to violate their religious beliefs or pay a tax penalty.
But he immediately apologizes because a few of our soldiers inadvertently violated Muslims religious beliefs by trying to dispose of already-desecrated Korans.
Well, despite his apology, hoardes of semi-barbarian Afghans went on a rampage, burned Obama in dog-head effigy, and killed several of our soldiers.
And if you think that’s bad, just imagine what they would do if Obama adopted a rule forcing Muslims to violate their religious beliefs or pay a tax penalty.
And, of course, no part of that response can be attributed to a ten-year occupation by a foreign imperial force that has resulted in the deaths of thousands of innocent natives. Those crazy Muslims and their crazy propensity for violence!
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseSemi-barbarian? I suggest that men who shoot to kill Americans and each other in response to a book burning are full-fledged, dues paid up in perpetuity barbarians.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbusePoint well taken. Urinating on the dead/defeated would qualify as only semi-barbarian.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseNormally I give Obama enough credit to assume he comprehends the implications of the incentives created by his policies. E.g., paying the non-pruductive creates more non-workers; burdening the productive diminishes output. I assume he's smart enough to know this.
But in the case of how Obama treats America's violent enemies -- viewed alongside how he treats many honorable Americans... I have to assume he is simply a reckless moron because the alternative explanation is too horrific.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseWhat are you talking about? Showing respect for the religious culture of the country our military is occupying is simply prudent. And on top of that it's the morally decent thing to do.

Osama Bin Ladin and his 22 commanders would not agree....

Sharia.
Jizyah.
Eh?
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseObama isn't a Christian---but then neither are Pelosi, Biden, Sebellius, and the other Catholics in Name Only who betray the Church for the 30 pieces of silver he offers them.
Reply to this commentLinkReport Abuse...and neither are members of any party who support the death penalty in its current form, the preventive war against Iraq in 2003, or the cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment of prisoners at Guantamo Bay, Bagram Air Base, and numerous black sites around the word (regardless of its designation as torture or not). Surely their Catholicism -- indeed, their claim to Christianity -- is hollow.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseYou judge who is a Christian? Next time you confess be sure to confess that you falsely judged another human being. You are not the judge
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseThis has been my question about President Obama from the beginning:
Evil manipulator or clueless tool?
Reply to this commentLinkReport Abuse"...just imagine what they would do if Obama adopted a rule forcing Muslims to violate their religious beliefs or pay a tax penalty."
He has done just the opposite with Obamacare, where shariah's laws prohibit insurance of any kind. So Muslims, Amish and similar groups would be exempt since Obamacare would violate their religious beliefs. No tax penalty either. This is the example that Catholic leaders should be using against Obama.
It's also another example of why Obamacare will be declared unconstitutional before the SCOTUS- by forcing some religious groups to comply while letting other religious groups off the hook.

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI could not agree more. If the Great Apologizer likes giving us all his latest Apologies for any number of things he & we are not responsible for, how about for once Apologizing for (and retracting) the outrageous anti-religious policies that he is responsible for?
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseBush also apologized for burning of Koran during his term in office. Where was your outrage then?
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseYou might want to dial down the birth control hysteria: You've lost Pat Buchanan.

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseA British saying goes: "A gentleman never gives offense by accident." By this definition Obama is a gentlemen. He has shown yet again how America can lead by example: we have principles and admit when we're wrong.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseIf muslims do that when apologized to, "Just imagine" what Catholics would do. (/sarc)
Maybe Obama is saving us from the Catholics. Maybe he's saving Catholics from Catholicism. All we know for sure is he really really wants to be regarded as a savior and he's willing to save Americans from America in order to do it.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseThinking of Bowe Bergdahl (the only US soldier held by the Taliban as a POW in Afghanistan) and wondering how Obama's ineptness has caused him more suffering. Please keep this young man (now held for more than 2 years) in your prayers.
