Oh dear, what a loss. I didn’t know him well. We e-mailed and talked on the phone occasionally and met a couple of times. He came on the NR cruise in 2010 and caused the usual fireworks during the sessions on board the ship. He was great fun. What I’ll remember most, however, was his family: He brought them all, his wife and four little kids. The guy was a family man. If you knew Andrew only by his public profile as a professional provocateur, it may be hard to imagine. But it’s true. Say a prayer for those he leaves behind.
Ah what a shame. For his family. For his readership. For America. So young and brilliant and vital. Provocateur... Yes he was. And a fine counterbalance to some of the badminton players around here. Yeah, us conservatives are a stodgy ladylike and gentlemanly sort, not given to rough and tumble sports. So the lefty streetfighter thugs break our noggins every time. A lot of the prigs on our side never much cared for Andrew - or Ann Coulter for that matter. Well, so now it's back to fret in our parlors about those nasty leftist legbreakers while Ann Coulter and darn few others throw punches in the alleys. Thanks Andrew! God bless! You had a mighty good upper cut.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseHeartbreaking. What a terrible loss. RIP Andrew. My deep condolences to his wife and children.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseHe was a blast to listen to: a rhetorical machine gun shredding the blather of fools. He will be missed.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseI am a big fan and was reading his book in anticipation of a few lively discussions with him on the next cruise. However, I think my lasting memory will be of Breitbart, the family man. Anyone who had the pleasure of seeing him in that role on the cruise will remember the image of him with his family. Prayers to his wife and children.
