Today on Uncommon Knowledge, Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell takes us from being a toddler with polio in Athens, Alabama to being the Majority Leader of the U.S. Senate.

“I can go home almost every night and prop my feet up and say to myself, ‘Well, I really made a positive difference today on something that would be good for the country.’ And I know that sounds really corny, but I’ve met a lot of people in public service, both on the left and the right. And I think the reason people subject themselves to the battering ram that we all are subjected to all the time, is we really want to try to have a positive impact on the country.”
