“You know they didn’t want to have a streamlined government. They wanted to have a lot of checks and balances. Or, a bi-partisan coming together – such as we’ve seen at critical moments in our history. Some of which in recent history we’ve talked about, the decision to raise the age for Social Security, the decision to have comprehensive tax reform, or to pass welfare reform. All of those done through a Senate designed to slow things down, and to actually stop things.”
