If Obama Were a Car, What Kind of Car Would He Be?

by Nathaniel Botwinick

Resurgent Republic, a conservative policy organization, has released the results from a new set of focus groups of independents who voted for Obama in 2008 but are undecided in 2012. They asked all of the independents in the focus groups, “If Obama were a car, what kind of a car would he be and why?” Resurgent Republic has since created an amusing graphic to detail the spectrum of responses. One of the best, from a man in Richmond, Va., explains why he thinks Obama is the infamous Dale:

It was supposed to come out in the 1970s. . . . This car, the Dale, which was supposed to end the gas crisis. It was supposed to be for the masses, kind of like the Volkswagen — user-friendly. It was this really kind of cool, sleek-looking car. And then, the thing never ran, it was a false bill of goods. It looked good on paper, but when it came to delivering it, it was worse than it even came out to be.
