America’s Leadership Reputation Declines Worldwide

According to a new Gallup poll, the United States’ leadership approval rating continues to drop worldwide — the rest of the world is also becoming disillusioned with “hope and change,” too. The U.S. faced heavy declines across the board in Africa and South America, while Europe and Asia saw mixed results. Among important American allies such as France, Spain, and Germany, the United States suffered double-digit losses. Interestingly, America saw its biggest approval rating increase in Belgium — so at least all is not lost.
