2012: The Economic Choices

by Conrad Black

From my most recent NRO article, on the challenges facing the U.S. and Europe: “All now awaits the election. In the event of a Romney win, the Republican candidate’s background as a consultant could be a plus point, because what is required is, in fact, a compromise between an absolute refusal to raise any taxes, even when more than balanced by a preparedness to reduce others, and what amounts to an equally adamant refusal to cut spending. It is a stupid people’s game of chicken that should never have been played.”

Whether you agree or disagree, your comments are, as always, most welcome.
