How You Can Help Scott Walker before the Polls Close
Conservatives and free-marketeers itching to make a difference in today’s Wisconsin gubernatorial recall election can do so from the comfort of their own homes.
Thanks to the magic of the Internet, Tea Party Express has arranged for activists around the country to phone Badger State voters through an outfit called FLS Connect. Its Volunteer Connect system is very simple: After logging on here, Walker supporters can enter their names, watch a simple tutorial for four minutes, and then click on various prompts on the website. It very easily guides volunteers through several steps: showing voters’ names, dialing them directly, presenting scripts to read to them (or their voice-mail systems), and recording their responses.
Call centers are an American campaign staple. Union halls and professional offices usually host such election-day activity. The Internet now makes it easier than ever for Americans to participate this way without ever leaving their homes — or even getting dressed.
Wisconsin’s polls close at 8:00 p.m. Central time.
