Jackson on Cigars

Even though Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. (D., Ill.) wants to raise the minimum wage to $10, he has his anti-regulatory moments — at least, when one of his own hobbies is involved. He’s joined forces with the likes of Allen West (R., Fla.) to oppose a regulation that would give the FDA as much control over cigars as it currently has over cigarettes.

A Jackson aide told National Review Online that the Chicagoan has smoked cigars for years, despite his father’s abstinence from tobacco.
