‘You Don’t Raise Taxes in a Recession’

The president announced today that he favors a one-year extension of the Bush tax cuts for families making less than $250,000 a year — and a tax hike for millions of others. Considering the persistently bad employment, manufacturing, and growth numbers, maybe the president should take a trip down memory lane to 2009, when he said “you don’t raise taxes in a recession.”
