Gergen: ‘For Goodness Sake . . .’

Text

Someone in the Romney camp should probably send a nice thank-you card to David Gergen for writing this piece, a remarkably sane, well-reasoned, straightforward defense of the candidate from the charges that he lied about when he stopped working at Bain, and, thus, is a charlatan who would probably offshore all of America if he had the chance. Gergen concludes by pointing out that accusing the former governor of criminal action is ludicrous: “And for goodness sake, will the Obama campaign please withdraw its heavy suggestion that Mitt Romney could well have committed a felony?” he writes. “That was an injustice to both Romney and the president.”
